 Capital Cities of Europe

Hoplist for May 2008 by figjam

 Capital Cities of Europe

The month of May is taking us to Europe and we will be visiting all countries listed on the map to the left (click on it for a larger view). Every hop will give you information as to which country you are flying too and the capital of that counrty. Some countries don't have airports, hard to believe i know but don't worry as we will get pretty close. Some large distance hops are included so break out the jets to cut the travel time a little.

  • 12966nm Total
  • 48 hops
  • shortest 11 nm
  • longest 960 nm
  • Average 270nm

Europe
There are some great scenery enhancements available for both FS9 and FSX. Have a look at Avsim to see if any appeal to you.
If you want any easy to find info on where you are flying whilst doing the hops check out the
and click on the different counties which give you additional information that is very interesting and easy to read.

A Flight Plan for Capital Cities of Europe is available. The flight plan is not required to do the hoplist it will just add all of the destinations to the GPS as one flight plan. It includes the start and finish airports with all destinations in between classed as waypoints. Install the .PLN file into your My Documents / Flight sim folder and load it onto your flight with the flight Planner. Dont press the "Find Route" button as this will wipe out all the waypoints. Just load and press OK. Your GPS will be set for the first destination and every successive airport after that.  When you finish your flying session save your flight as Monthly Hops. Then the next time you come to fly the Monthly Hops, just load the saved flight and everthing is set ready to go. (as long as its still the same month) You will also you will find a Navigation Log of the complete list on the Kneeboard. Very handy for looking ahead to see whats coming up.
