			<title>Pilots of the Caribbean</title>

			January 2009 Hoplist by Av8tor

The tropical turquoise blue waters of the Caribbean are beckoning , not for the pirate, but for the pilot, yes you.

This list put together by Calvin will take you over some stunning scenery and interesting locations you may never have had the pleasure to fly into, tiny little islands with white sparkling sands that adorne these waters so frequently.

Situated largely on the Caribbean Plate, the region comprises more than 7,000 islands, reefs and cays.
The waters of the Caribbean Sea host large, migratory schools of fish, turtles, and coral reef formations. The Puerto Rico trench, located on the fringe of the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea just to the north of the island of Puerto Rico, is the deepest point in all of the Atlantic Ocean.

Enjoy its breathtaking splendor, soak in those famous rays on the beach, sip on that bacardi and lime and watch the sun sink into a golden syrupy slumber.
But remember with all beauty there comes a price, this jewel of diamonds can quickly become a crown of thorns.

Tiny small coral strips that leave no room for error.

Hurricanes, which at times batter this region, can sweep in faster than a wink of a eye, paradise can turn to hell with no escape route.
Enjoy this hoplist jaunt into the Caribbean , and keep a keen eye on the weather.

The schooners and the merry crews are laid away to rest
A little south the sunset in the islands of the blessed.

			<title>OZx 1.0 Released </title>
			<link>http://figjam.net.au/figair/content/view/94/2/</link>
			<description>

The
OZx family takes great delight in presenting the OZx Freeware Pack
Version 1.0. Within this package we feature the work of many of
Australia&amp;rsquo;s finest developers. Joining our family are some extremely
talented newcomers, offering new insight and unique perspectives to the
challenges of scenery design.
OZx Freeware is a collection of over
130 texture matched airstrips and various other photo scenery objects
that have been designed to blend seamlessly with the FTX_AU scenery
series. The majority of strips you will find in this package are small
airfields designed for general aviation (GA) flight. Some are farm
strips &amp;ndash; sharing a paddock with crops; some are mining strips &amp;ndash;
designed for twin engine turboprop fly-in, fly-out operations; some are
small strips servicing rural communities or tourism operations.
It
is a truism that our flight sim hobby caters for many tastes. I like
the simplicity of single engine, low and scenic. For me, it is the
environment that counts; I like to see the rolling hills, patchworked
pastures and tree-filled valleys passing under the nose of my aircraft.
If you&amp;rsquo;re like me you will enjoy the challenge of navigating to an
airstrip not serviced by navigation aids and the thrill of landing on
rough and remote airstrips. No doubt your pulse will start to race when
you attempt to land on these bumpy, unflattened strips, dodging the
fences, the cattle, the &amp;lsquo;roos and the powerlines! Now this is what bush
flying is all about.
